Safe Boating classes are offered periodically throughout each year by both the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary (CGAUX) and New Mexico State Parks (NMSP).  These courses may be one-day in length or up to thirteen weeks, depending on the depth of the course content.  

  A student who successfully completes one of these certified courses will receive a certificate of completion.  This certificate will satisfy requirements in any state, including NEW MEXICO, that requires completion of a boating safety course in order to legally operate a boat within that state.  Click on link above for more information concerning recent New Mexico law covering boat operators.  Vessel owners who successfully complete one of these course may also be entitled to a rate reduction on their vessel insurance.
